Hua Mulan | 花木兰 (2020)

Synopsis

Mulan, the daughter of the Hua family, is a gallant and quick-witted young girl. Faced with the draft, her elderly father insisted on going, and Mulan decided to join the army on her father's behalf. When she first enters the army, Mulan not only has to face many inconveniences of life, but also the physical disadvantages of being a woman. The strong Mulan puts in extra effort to train, and the general Li Rong admires her very much. However, the sacrifice of her brothers in the war was hard for Mulan to accept. Li Rong helped to write a letter home to show Li Rong her thoughts and her wish to end the war as soon as possible and return home soon. However, the war was at a stalemate as our army was outnumbered. Mulan decided to break the enemy in a way she was better at. With her carefulness, she boldly proposed a new strategy, which led the army to successive victories. In the end, Mulan and Li Rong cooperated with each other and broke the enemy in one fell swoop. At the end of the war, Mulan declined the title and went home to reunite with her family when Li Rong was waiting for her at the door.
